01
Understand the entity

Context and role

Orks are a playable faction built around relentless aggression, strength in numbers, rapid expansion and frequent fighting. Their dedicated preview connects a broad territorial style to comparatively cheap units and buildings, while the main game page recommends spreading bases, building several strongholds and erecting Waaagh! Banners. Waaagh! adds a faction-wide combat surge fed by battlefield presence and defeated enemies. These sources do not publish a complete roster, resource table, production tree, universal unit cost or guaranteed advantage, so the faction profile remains strategic rather than numerical.

02
What is established

History and changes

The Orks were treated as essential to Dawn of War IV because of their long association with the series, and the team also chose to bring back Warboss Gorgutz. The faction preview translates their established appetite for war into rapid growth, inexpensive construction and the Waaagh! system, while introducing Guzcutta as a new rival. That is creative and faction-design context, not a record of balance changes. No previous build, altered meter rule, revised economy, removed unit, competitive trend or patch sequence is documented in the qualified pages.

03
Apply the knowledge

Practical use

The official play guidance favours constant pressure and expansion. It recommends overwhelming numbers, multiple strongholds, plenty of Waaagh! Banners and frequent use of free Ork Stratagems. The faction preview adds that Waaagh! fills from the number of Orks present and enemies defeated, then strengthens fighting units when triggered. These principles define a broad loop of fighting, building and expanding. They do not establish a fixed opening, optimal army mix, best Commander, exact activation moment or guaranteed route, so a guide should preserve the categories instead of inventing a build order.
