01
Understand the entity

Context and role

Company Master Astoran is a Dark Angels Commander presented in sacred Terminator Armour and associated with the Deathwing. The story article says the Deathwing under his command forms a formidable frontline bulwark and dismantles heavy units with power fists. That establishes his faction, armour, formation and broad battlefield purpose. It does not separate Astoran’s personal actions from the formation’s actions beyond command, nor does it publish his own weapon list, ability, cost, movement profile, durability, selection rule or mission availability. His supported identity is leadership of the Deathwing role.

02
What is established

History and changes

Astoran enters the revealed campaign context when the Dark Angels answer a call for aid and provide critical reinforcements on Kronus. Their arrival creates a choice between the Blood Ravens’ flexible style and the Dark Angels’ shock-and-awe approach. Because the Chapters share many units, Commanders are positioned as the largest gameplay difference, and Astoran embodies the Deathwing side of that distinction. This is design and narrative framing rather than balance history. The source documents no prior playable version, armour change, replaced ability, progression path or dated tuning decision for him.

03
Apply the knowledge

Practical use

The practical role supported by the article is command of a slow, punishing frontline formation. Astoran wears Terminator Armour, while his Deathwing provides a bulwark and uses power fists against heavy units. Those statements explain the intended association, but they do not prove that every Deathwing property is a personal statistic of Astoran. The page gives no activation sequence, formation size, supporting unit, deployment method or preferred objective. High-level use can therefore distinguish his frontline Deathwing identity from Ezrael’s Ravenwing lightning strikes without inventing a build or timing.
